Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Karim moved to Vancouver in his childhood in the late '70s with his family. He has been practicing dentistry since 1999.
Roles in organized Dentistry:
Dr. Karim enjoys teaching and lecturing about orthodontics as a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC in the Graduate Orthodontics Department. Apart from private practice and teaching, Dr. Karim also enjoys clinical research. Read Dr. Karim's publications. Dr. Karim is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
In addition to Blundell Orthodontics, Dr. Karim also works at his orthodontic office in Pitt Meadows.
When not in clinic, Dr. Karim enjoys community activities, biking, sculling, and spending time with his parents, wife, and three children.
Dr. Robin Jackson retired from private practice in 2016 after selling and transitioning his practice to Dr. Asef Karim in 2014.
Donna has been with Blundell Orthodontics for 13 years.
Virg has been with Blundell Orthodontics for 25 years.
Robin has been with Blundell Orthodontics for 15 years.

Certified Specialist in Orthodontics (retired in 2016)
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Dr. Jackson received his DDS from McGill University in 1968 and his MSc Certificate in Orthodontics from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1970. He has resided and practiced in the lower mainland since 1970.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
In a career that spans over 48 years, he has served as a Director for the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, President of the BC Society of Orthodontists, and Chief Examiner for the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. Nationally, he has served as Chief examiner (Orthodontics) of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, as a Director of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and as a Director with the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. He has also served on the Accreditation Commission of Canada. In addition, Dr. Jackson has been an active participant in a wide range of activities with the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) actively participating in work in various capacities since 1987 as well as serving as Director, Delegation Chairman and President.
He has been active with the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Program at BC Children's Hospital since 1970. He is Past President of the BC Component of the American College of Dentists. Promoting the advancement of excellence in orthodontic practice, ethics, and research, Dr. Jackson is an active member of the Edward H. Angle Society and has served as President of the North West Component.
Dr. Jackson has enjoyed teaching and being a clinical instructor at the orthodontics program with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia since the 70s.
Dr. Jackson enjoys biking, fishing, working out at the gym and spending time with his family.
